So I have finished the quilt top for my first baby. It took me some time to finally get the nerve up to cut into the fabric; it was just so pretty :)
The fabric is from fabric worm and is part of the Birch Line which is Organic cotton and the colors are just lovely. The pattern I found on pinterest and it was super easy to follow. Now I just have to figure out what I want to back the quilt with and start my sandwich :)

Watch out for those lady bugs ...
Finished! and oh so cute
This pattern was absolutely wonderful to knit; i can see my self knitting at least one more for myself and maybe one for a another little baby I know who is making an appearance in December. I just have to say that babies are popping out everywhere, it's a good thing.

New adventure in the making
So as you know my husband and I are having our first baby in September.
WE ARE HAVING A GIRL!!!
So with that in mind I have been on the look out for some great fabric to make her a quilt. I have decided that I did not want to make a super girly barbie pink room so it took some time to find just the right fabric. I was looking for something fun and bright and this is what I found:
The fabric is from Fabric Worm which I heard about from Shannon at Luvinthemommyhood who has a wonderful crafting blog that I highly recommend you start reading. There is tones of sewing information as well as knitting info. She makes me want to move back to Victoria all the time!
I placed my order today and cannot wait to see the fabric in person; I am sure it will be just wonderful. Now time to pick a pattern :) Oh and I ordered the 1/2 yard bundle so I will have some extra fabric for pillows or some other fun accessory.
Stay tuned to see where this adventure will take me!
