Fill in the blanks with Luvinthemommyhood

This is a little game being played over at Luvinthemommyhood. If you would like to play along all you have to do is copy & paste the following questions into your own blog post and change the words i have " " and bolded to your own answer.  When you have finished your post, link up your blog post at Luvinthemommyhood's blog in the comments section and that way we can all learn about each other :)

Work in Progress Wednesday

I am currently trying to finish up my works in progress; here is the one I am currently trying to finish,

Pattern: Guernsey Wrap by Jared Flood
Yarn: Creative Focus Superwash (discontinued)
Project Link

This pattern is very well written and easy to follow. I love the simple stitch patterns created by the knit and purl stitches. I cannot wait to get it finished so I can wear it this fall :)

I am also working on my Summer Sweater KAL project for my little Mila but that is in another post.

Mila's Babe Pullover

Yet another sweater for my little girl :) The pattern was easy and straightforward. I found that it was tight working on a circular needle but not too bad. For the collar I used the magic loop method. The lace pattern was easy to follow but I found that I should have maybe gone up a needle size for that section the give a looser look. I was also unable to get my YOs to look similar. I also found that it knit up slightly small even though I got the correct gauge. See project notes for more details.

Pattern: Sibella Babe Pullover
Yarn: Indigo Moon Organic Merino Wool

Grey Mist Cardigan

Finally finally finally!

I have finally finished my summer knit along sweater from last years knit along! Last blogged about here.

Pattern: Calligraphy Cardigan
Yarn: Rowan Felted Tweed DK

Sorry that these photos are slightly blurry. I am pretty happy with this sweater as it was my first adult sized piece. After blocking and putting the buttons on I found that the fabric is slightly too loose for the weight of the buttons and cause the button band and collar to droop slightly. If I were to knit this again I would use a heavier yarn and possibly add pockets. I would also do long sleeves as shown in the pattern; my short sleeves work well with the light weight fabric made by the rowan yarn. A perfect fall/spring sweater.
